Alice Green, Mother of three sons affectionately known as Grandma Alice, was born in Great Falls, South Carolina to Chaney Hill and Robert Gladden. She lived in Great Falls until she was 16 years old and took the great migration north out of the Jim Crow South in search of opportunity and to be closer to her Father. She built a career at the Lyons VA Hospital where she worked as a certified nurses aid for 30 years. She received many awards and recognition during her time there. She retired in 1995 when she decided to move to Virginia to be closer to her grandchildren. Some of her absolute favorite things to do was taking a drive, playing bingo and Pokeno, where she always won something, watching The Young and The Restless, Wheel of Fortune, and Jeopardy. Alice Green is Predeceased by her mother, father, son James Gladden, and her sister Mary Woodson. She leaves behind her two sons, Isaiah Green Jr. (Beloved daughter in law Vickey Green) and Gregory Green, her grandchildren, Kimberly Deane (Lester Deane) Adrian Green, Daniel Green, her great grandchildren, Kimmel Green, Elon Green, and Denver Deane and her great great granddaughter Soleil Elia Gerace-Green.
